Working Principle of the Powder Injection Tank (Pulverized Coal Injection Tank)
Other Products
Working Principle of the Injection Tank (Pulverized Coal Injection Tank) The core function of the injection tank is to convert "solid pulverized coal" into "transportable gas-solid two-phase flow". Its working process revolves around four stages: "coal charging - pressurization - fluidization - injection", as detailed below: 1. Coal charging stage: Pulverized coal from the pulverizing system is loaded into the tank through the upper feed valve (bell valve). The coal charging volume is monitored by the level gauge inside the tank, and the feed valve is closed when the set level is reached. 2. Pressurization stage: Compressed air is introduced into the tank to raise the internal pressure to the pressure required for injection (usually matched with the blast furnace hot blast pressure). 3. Fluidization stage: The fluidization device (fluidized bed + fluidization nozzle) is activated. Compressed air enters the tank through a porous plate or nozzle, turning the pulverized coal at the bottom into a "fluidized state" (similar to the flow state of a liquid), eliminating coal bridging and accumulation, and ensuring uniform output. 4. Injection stage: The discharge valve is opened, and the fluidized pulverized coal enters the self-mixer under the action of the tank pressure. After mixing with secondary compressed air, it is sent to the lance through the coal pipeline and finally injected into the blast furnace tuyere. Key Design Highlights: By installing "fluidization nozzles" on the conical lower head, the fluidization effect of pulverized coal is further optimized through the agitation of air flow. It is not only applicable to new systems, but also can be used for the transformation and upgrading of existing injection tanks to improve transportation stability.
